Comedy sportz is hilarious!!! It's an improv show that is good clean humor. It costs only $8 per person. Not bad! It's located on main street in Provo (very close to BYU).
Provo Beach Resort is such a fun place! There are soo many things to do there and it's pretty cheap. There is a ropes course, miniature croquet, bowling, and so much more! It's a whole lot of fun, especially for a group date!
Visit temple square! It's gorgeous, spiritual, and FREE! It's a great group date idea. We went their a few times. It's especially pretty around Christmas time, but just dont forget to bundle up!
Ice skating! We went ice skating once or twice. Hailey actually went ice skating on a date once, and fell and scraped her knee. (She literally fell for him! No pun intended...) Peaks ice arena is cheap, not too far away, and is a great time! And if you are really having fun, its great to hold hands while you skate around!
Ahh, Squaw Peak. If you haven't heard about squaw peak yet, trust us, you will. It's the infamous place people go to make out. It has an amazing view as you see above. If a boy asks you out on a date to Squaw Peak, DONT GO. Unless you're into kissing on the first date. (;
a few dating tips:::
*a lot of girls feel insignificant in provo. there are cute girls everywhere you look. remember that just because someone else is pretty it doesn't make you any prettier or uglier. so if changing how you look isn't the answer how do you get noticed....
*to get noticed you need to stand out. you need to have something that's rare and makes you memorable. what is that..it's confidence! if you accept yourself and love yourself people notice. it gives you a certain presence that people love being around. when you're not concentrating on how your makeup looks or what to say next you can focus your attention on the other person and make them feel important.
*do NOT kiss until the guy works for it!! this is so important and can be so hard. if the guy doesn't work for it he'll 9 out of ten times move onto another girl in a few weeks. you're a prize...make him work for it!! the things that are most worth it are the hardest to get
Thanks for the great date ideas! Here are a few more fun date ideas from dates that I have been involved with planning and they turned out to be quite fun. I thought I would share it with you and the rest of the Internet.
ReplyDeleteMinute To Win It: You know the TV show, Minute To Win It, yeah well we put together 10 games from that show to play as couples on a group date. Each couple competed as a team against the other couples. It was really fun. Oh and beforehand, each girl got a coloring book and crayons so that they could color while talking to the guys as the guys cooked dinner for them.
Rockets: So for this date, we just went out to dinner at a restaurant and then after, we gave our dates what we called a "Date Menu". Which was a nicely designed and laminated menu of like 5 things that they could choose from that they maybe wanted to do. They chose to build model rockets and launch them into space (okay maybe not space, but you get the idea). So you can buy model rocket kits at a local hobby shop. Each couple got a rocket that they then had to assemble together. It doesn't take too long. Then you go launch them at like a big open field. It was pretty cool.
Morning Date (Zoo): We did this one on a Saturday morning to kind of switch things up a bit. I mean really, why do dates always have to be at night? Is there a rule? So we cooked a nice breakfast for the girls and made smiley face out of pancakes, bacon, eggs, hash browns, sausages, etc... We used the same coloring book with crayons technique for the girls so that they would have something to do as we made them a delicious breakfast. Most girls have really liked the coloring book thing. It is kind of a hit haha... Anyway, after breakfast we headed off to enjoy the day at the zoo, which not only included the animals, but also following a zoo keeper around in a single-file line behind him for a while until he noticed. Then we pretended like we weren't following him at all haha...
Anyway, those were just a few of the most creative, out-of-the-norm, and fun dates that I have been on. Just thought I'd share.
Thanks so much for your suggestions! I'm glad you liked ours and let us know if they're successful! Keep up with the dating fun and don't forget to tune in here!
